I'm John Garduño a Los Angeles-based Photographer and Creative Director with a passion rooted in documenting real life, raw moments, and creative culture.

In 2024, I founded D1 Studios, a full-service production house that began as a solo project and quickly evolved into a collaborative space shared with close friends and talented creatives. What started in a single studio last May grew into our second space by August proof that a lot can happen once you lock in.

My journey into photography began in middle school, inspired by skate videos and filming my friends. I always had a camera in hand, capturing the world around me long before I realized it could be a career. That passion led me to the ArtCenter College of Design, where I honed my skills and transformed a hobby into a profession.

After working in-house for several brands and building a deep understanding of both the creative and production sides of the industry, I went fully freelance in 2017. Since then, I've had the opportunity to work on projects with Sephora, SKKN by Kim, Fenty, PacSun, the NBA, and the NFL, among others.
